Membership Information

The Washington Club, established in 1903, is a membership organization that offers Golf, Tennis and Beach facilities: a 9-hole golf course, eight tennis courts at the Frederick Gunn School, a private beach club on Lake Waramaug, and the Washington Club Hall on the Green for social events.

To be eligible for membership an individual or a family must be known to the Washington Club community for at least one year and must be proposed and seconded by two Club members, both of whom have been members for at least one year. It is the proposer’s responsibility to actively introduce the candidate to the Washington Club during the Season, June – September, and to complete and submit the membership application. The application deadline is November 1st. Decisions are made annually prior to the beginning of each Season. 

For those of you who are new to the area and do not know any members of the Washington Club, the Club offers a one-time Trial Membership for both Golf and for Tennis.
