Come along on Thursday nights for tennis under the stars. The guys come for round robins, refreshments, some laughs, and the occasional barbeque.

Mixed Doubles Night

Join us for round robin mixed doubles tennis, all levels welcome. Meet new players and find new tennis games. Of course, enjoy appetizers and refreshments!

Date: Friday, June 22 (Babysitting provided)
Time: 6:30 P.M.

Men's Ladders

Tennis ladders are an exciting way to find new matches and enjoy some friendly competition with other members of the Club. There will be ladders for beginner, intermediate and advanced players - organized into 3 levels for men and women and 2 levels for juniors.

Men A, B and C

Rules of the Ladder

The original rankings will be done by lottery. Please sign up by Friday, June 29th to be involved in the opening lottery.

Players who join after this date will be allowed one free challenge to get onto the ladder. If they lose this match, they will go to the bottom of this list.

1.How are challenges issued?
Challenges are issued directly from player to player.
After you have signed up you will be forwarded contact information on the members within your ladder.

2. How long do I have to accept or decline a challenge?
Players have 48 hours to accept or decline a challenge.

3. How long do I have to play a match and report the results?
A match must be completed within one week of the challenge being accepted.
Results should be reported within 24 hours.

phone at 860-868-7127.

4. Is there a limit to how many people I can challenge?
Each player may only be involved in one challenge at a time as challengee or challenger.

5. Can someone decline a challenge?
The expectation is that all players will accept all challenges issued to them.
The only time someone should decline a challenge is when they are already involved in another challenge.

6. What is the format?
Matches are a pro set to 8 with a tiebreaker at 7 all.

Men's Pro-Am

Come join us for a competitive, challenging and fun two hours of tennis. Patric is pulling in the best professional players he knows to help you beat the opposition. Each member will be teamed up with a Pro to form a doubles team competing against other Pro-Am teams in a round robin tournament. Learn from a Pro and try to beat a Pro! Sign up limited to 12 members, on a first come first served basis.

Fees:
Pro-Am Only: $75
Pro-Am and Barbeque: $80
BBQ Only: $5
Date: June 30
Time: 1:30 A.M. to 3:30 P.M.

Mixed Member Guest

Invite your guest to experience Washington Club tennis at its best. Join us for an exciting day of mixed doubles, delicious food, prizes and fun for everyone. All levels of play are encouraged to attend.

Fees: $40 per team

Men's Member Guest

Introduce your guest to the best of the Washington Men's Tennis season - the 2012 Men's Member Guest Tournament. Join us for a casual day of doubles tennis, great food and prizes - and fun for all. Players of all levels are welcome.

Fees:  $40 per team
Date:  Saturday, July 21st
Time:  10:30 am

Club Championship

Fees: $10 per bracket

Format and Rules:
Two flights: (1) Advanced, (2) Intermediate and Beginner Level
Flexible-schedule: participants set their own schedule through the quarter-final round.
Semifinals will be held on Saturday, August 25 and Sunday, August 26. Finals will be held Labor Day Weekend.
Teams that cannot agree on a playing time will be disqualified with final decisions determined by the tennis committee.
Matches can be played on weekdays or weekends, day or night.
Court surface will be clay, unless members mutually agree to hard courts.
Best of 2 out of 3 sets.

Sunday, July 22 - Draws will be completed giving participants 2 weekends to get first match completed.
Saturday, Aug 4 - Round 1 matches must be completed

The Irish Cup

The Irish Cup is a competitive intraclub event between our tennis club and other tennis clubs in the area. Our team will be made up of men and women who will be selected to play singles, doubles or mixed doubles matches throughout the day. The winning team is awarded the Irish Cup.

Saturday Afternoon Tennis Fest

Join us for an informal afternoon of round robin tennis. This is a great chance to have some fun on the courts and meet other players at your level. All levels welcome - beginners & intermediates especially!
