Application Checklist

Proposer is responsible for the entire process
(prospective member doesn’t do anything)
The proposer, seconder & 2 writers of support letters must be Corporate
Members. A Corporate Member is
one who has completed 5 or more years as a member and is a member in good standing (all bills paid). All
four individuals involved in application must have known the candidate for
at least one year.
A proposer may propose or second only one candidate every two years.
Seconders are also limited to one proposal or second every two years.
Writers of support letters may write as many as they wish; no limit.
No Governors, Officers, members of the Membership Committee or their
spouses may propose, second or write support letters.
Prerequisites for Membership
Applicant must be known to & be active in the community for a minimum of one year.
Proposer personally ensures that his/her candidate is introduced to the Club at least two times in the following ways:
- is introduced to sections of interest, to section chairs, is guest at
sections & meets other members.
- attends the Prospective Members Cocktail Party.
- attends section or Club events when guests are welcome.
- is introduced to Governors & must be personally acquainted with a
minimum of 2 Governors for at least 6 months by the time
application is submitted by proposer.
Application Procedures
Write or e-mail to request an application from the Membership Chair
describing how the above prerequisites have been met

Completed applications must be accompanied by 4 detailed
letters from:
- Proposer
- Seconder
- 2 support letters.
Date of application will determine wait list placement.
