Dear Washington Club Members:
The Washington Beach Club held it's second annual ice skating party at
Holt Beach on February 21st. It was a lot of fun! Thanks to those of you who
turned out! It was great seeing everyone in winter wear! Please enjoy the
attached pics.
This event could not have been such a success had it not been for the help
of the following, so some words of thanks are in order....
John Gillen: for getting us a great load of good burning fire wood, for
cleaning the grill, shoveling snow, removing trash and keeping track of
expenses.
Mimi Gillen: for lining up the folks at the Gunnery to help prepare the
ice and the beach for us; for helping with set-up & clean up the day of
and day before; for ordering the pit toilet, getting the toilet paper,
bottled water, napkins, coffee makers, hot chocolate, hot dogs, condiments
and fixing's for samores.
Greg Seeley: for grilling all those delicious hot dogs!
Hilary Houldin: for helping us move furniture the day before, and for
making us a HUGE platter of sandwiches, brownies and cookies.
Mother Nature: for providing us with that never-ending beautiful spot on
the lake, as well for giving us as a fantastic, sunny-spectacular day!
Cheers!
Hope everyone has a great spring!
